News Corp Printing Facility

What will be News Corps new Printing Facility, will be the largest built since early 2000.

MEC is working in partnership with Paramount Airconditioning, to deliver five inhouse assembled Mechanical Services Switchboards made to feed PAC units, VRV Air Conditioning and ventilation that will service temperature-controlled publishing areas, temperature-controlled printing areas, temperature and humidity-controlled reel stripping areas, miscellaneous plant rooms, printing control rooms and administration offices.

Due for completion December 2020.

Westfield Doncaster Precinct Development

MEC helped upgrade all the mechanical services to the new dining precinct at Westfield Doncaster.

The space, that was originally home to six restaurants is now transformed into a ‘modern-village’ style rooftop dining and entertainment precinct complete with up to 14 restaurants.

St Vincent’s Caritas Christi Palliative & Aged Care Development

This new hospital requires MEC to fit new MSSBs and installation to serve, Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, Ventilation.

Completion due January 2021.

Caulfield Village Precinct 2

A mixed-use development comprising of; four residential buildings, underground carpark, Resident Amenities and retail. MEC was tasked to install the Mechanical Electrical and BMS installation across all four buildings and common areas.

Completed June 2019.

La Trobe University Student Accommodation

The La Trobe University Student accommodation project comprising of the following; Two new student accommodation buildings constructed in Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) with a mix of single occupancy units and multiple-bed apartments, Communal areas, Roof mounted air source heat pump systems, Roof mounted ventilation and tempered air systems.
MEC will be delivering MSSBs to supply and control roof mounted Air Sourced Heat Pumps, Pumps, AHUs, FCUs, Air Conditioning and Ventilation.

Completed June 2020.

Golden Broadway

Sky Gardens

Sky Gardens is a residential development, located above and integrated with The Glen Shopping Centre, Glen Waverly. The development spans across 3 towers, 16 storeys above the retail podium and 3 levels below ground. MEC were engaged on a Design and Construct basis with MEC engineering and installing all the controls for the base building services including; Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Life Safety Stair Pressurisation. This provided a solution for our client to eliminate any need to engage a Building Management System (BMS) supplier, which in turn provided a significant saving.

Completion due July 2020.

Alexander Theatre Monash Uni

The Monash University Theatre required a number of MSSB to be installed that served power and control to AHU’s, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

Monash Medical Emergency Centre Expansion

We have been tasked to install temporary MSSBs and Air Conditioning services whilst the Monash Hospital’s Emergency Department is demolished and a new Emergency Department constructed. MEC is also operating in a live environment on the expansion and refurbishment to the Monash Hospital Emergency Department including SSU, Adult and Paediatrics Cubicles, Triage, Reception and Waiting Areas.

The extent of our work includes installing new MSSBs to serve new; Chillers, Cooling towers, Boilers & Pumps, AHUs, FCUs and medical ventilation completed with Active Harmonic Filtration Units.

Completion due mid 2021.
